ACheckout clutter
Shopify returns every rate. Not every rate fits.
Shipping profiles decide which rates exist in a zone. They can’t drop express after the courier has left, keep freight for trade buyers or tell anyone when the parcel arrives. So buyers pick the wrong option, and support answers the email.
| Shipping settings alone | With SO: Shipping rules | |
|---|---|---|
| Hide a rate below a cart total | Price condition on each rate, zone by zone | One rule for every zone |
| Hide express after the courier's cutoff | Not available | Order cutoff time |
| Different options for B2B or tagged customers | Rates only see weight and price | Company, location, tags, email, order count |
| Hide a rate for some ZIP codes | Zones stop at country and state | ZIP, city, address lines |
| Arrival date in the rate's name | A fixed name | Built at checkout, per order |
| Order of the rates | Cheapest first | Move, sort or show only one |
BHow it works
One rule, three decisions.
- 1
Start from a template
Pick one of 8 common rules, or start blank. Templates open in the builder, so nothing changes until you save.
- 2
Say when, then what
Conditions in a group must all match; any group can match. Then add one or more actions: hide, show, move or rename.
- 3
Set it Active
Saving an active rule updates the checkout function. Buyers see the result on their next checkout; set the rule Inactive and the rates come back.
CConditions and actions
Recognise the order. Then decide.
Every condition and action the rule builder offers, read from the app’s own catalog. Match a rate by its title, its code or its type, so carrier and pickup rates work too.

DDelivery dates
Put the arrival date in the rate's name.
A rename rule keeps the rate’s own name with {original} and adds the estimate wherever you type {estimate}. Weekly off days and the closed dates in Settings are skipped.
- 1
Business days
3-5 business days
The window you type, as a number of business days.
- 2
Delivery dates
Fri, Nov 6
The next day the route delivers on, if the order beats its cutoff.
- 3
Business days and dates
3-5 business days (Fri, Nov 6)
Both, the window first.
- 4
Date after working days
Fri, Nov 6 - Tue, Nov 10
Counts working days from the order, skipping off days and closed dates.
EBuilt on Shopify checkout
Your rates stay. The clutter goes.
- Runs inside checkout
- Rules run as Shopify delivery customizations, the Functions Shopify built for this. No carrier service, no theme code, nothing waiting on our servers while buyers pay.
- Every Shopify plan
- Delivery customizations from App Store apps work on Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus.
- Your rates stay yours
- Rates, zones and prices stay in Shopify's shipping settings. The app only decides which ones a buyer sees, in which order, under which name.
- 8 templates
- Hide express under a cart total, pickup only for heavy orders, free shipping first and more. Each one opens in the builder before it saves.
- Move rules between stores
- Export rules to a file and import them into your other stores, statuses included.
- Works with Sidekick
- Ask Shopify Sidekick which rules hide a rate, or have it draft a new rule in the builder for you to check.

GFAQ
Questions merchants ask first.
Does the app change my shipping prices?
No. Rates and prices come from your Shopify shipping settings and carrier apps. The app hides, shows, reorders and renames the delivery options checkout already offers.
Which Shopify plan do I need?
Any plan. Delivery customizations from public apps run on Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus stores.
Does it work with carrier-calculated rates and local pickup?
Yes. Rules see every delivery option checkout shows, including rates from carrier apps, local delivery and pickup. Match an option by its title or its code, or by its type.
What if two rules touch the same rate?
Rules run in the order of your rules list. A rate hidden by one rule stays hidden. You can change a rule's position from its page.
Can rate names follow the checkout language?
Yes. Add the Language condition to a rename rule and write one rule per language.
How is the delivery date worked out?
From your shop's local date and time, the business-day window you set, your weekly off days and the closed dates in Settings. Route dates can also respect a daily order cutoff.
Does the app store my buyers' details?
No. Customer conditions are checked by Shopify inside checkout. The app stores your rules and settings, not names, emails or orders.
What happens when I uninstall?
Shopify removes the app's delivery customizations and checkout goes back to showing every rate from your shipping settings. Your rules are deleted too, so export them first if you might come back.
